Student voice

At Crestwood Public School, we believe that student voice is essential in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment. Valuing student perspectives enables our students to build their leadership skills and confidence.
Together, we work towards a school community where everyone’s voice matters and is respected.

School Captains

Our School Captains play a vital role in representing the student body and leading by example. As ambassadors of our school, they work closely with staff and students to promote a positive school culture, organise events, and support community initiatives.

Four students (any combination) are elected as the Student Leaders “Captains”.

House Vice Captains

Eight students (any combination) will be elected as the Vice Sports Leaders “Vice Captains”. Their role is to support the Sports Captains during sporting endeavors.

Student Representative Council (SRC)

As part of the SRC students are encouraged to share their ideas, opinions, and feedback to help shape school policies, activities, and initiatives.

Two students (any combination) are elected as the SRC members for each class (Years 2 to 6). Composite classes have 1 member from each grade (still 2 members per class).

The election is conducted as a secret ballot, where the representatives are nominated and voted for by each respective group of class peers.
