NSW public schools offer special religious education and special education in ethics, delivered by approved providers wherever available.
Face-to-face Special Religious Education (SRE), Special Education in Ethics (SEE) and Voluntary student activities of a religious nature in schools (VSA) are available for all students at Crestwood Public School.

At Crestwood Public School, SRE is delivered on Wednesday for Years 3-6 from 10:20 - 10:50am and Years K-2 from 11:30 - 12:00.
Write to the school if you wish to withdraw your child from special religious education, sometimes known as scripture. Special education in ethics is an option for your primary-age child if you withdraw them from special religious education. For more information, visit Religion and ethics.
On enrolment parents/carers will be given the SRE participation letter to complete and return. After the initial enrolment, notification of changes to a child's enrolment in SRE should be given to the Principal in writing.

Special education in Ethics (SEE) is open to Year 5 students currently and is provided by Primary Ethics.

During the time that SRE classes are being held, students not attending will be located in a seperate space and will participate in meaningful activities such as private study and completing unfinished class work.
During enrolment, you can choose a special religious education option for your child from the school’s available approved providers. You can withdraw your child from special religious education by selecting alternative meaningful activities, or special education in ethics if it’s available.
